SMAD gives another retreat formation for staff

When we need assistance with a particular matter, we seek it from a professional in
a specialized field. For this reason, when we need aid managing the demands
placed on us spiritually, we go to those who serve in the church. Because of this,
the SMAD concluded to have a staff retreat for two days.
The participants will get a deeper understanding of themselves as the primary
focus of this retreat, which will last for two days. The most essential thing we have
learned from this retreat is how to acknowledge and embrace who we are as a
person in the eyes of God. Additionally, we know what we can contribute in
exchange for the things God has called us to do and wants us to accomplish for
Him.

The retreat master, Sr. Ma. Leoly Quitorio, F.I. from Hijas the Jesus
Congregation, headed the retreat to help the participant in this 2-day journey.
The first day got off to a somber start as we talked about ourselves, including our
more profound emotions that had been suppressed due to the circumstances. Sr.
Leoly provided us with some questions to ponder, and we thought about the parts
of ourselves that we hide from other people. The first session assisted us in being
more aware of our sentiments and understanding that these emotions have
significance.

The second session was about counting our blessings and the gifts we provided to
others. It’s tough to recognize that we also contributed to helping other people
since we were too humbled to accept that we are regarded as a blessing to others.
Sr. Leoly helped identify our potential as well as the distinctiveness of each
member in the group. People sometimes question whether or not God is calling
them to accomplish something specific. Still, the retreat master made it very clear
in the following session that everyone in this physical world serves a purpose.
Moreover, we were invited to form a group to discuss our difficulties and
problems. Last but not least, we had to express our aspirations to God and our
willingness to give in return.
The retreat’s conclusion left everyone feeling refreshed and with a smile on their
face.
