SMAD Celebrates the Feast Day of Stella Maris

Mama Mary, our lady, the star of the sea, who is our candle in the darkness in times of trouble, celebrates her feast day as Stella Maris along with the Stella Maris Academy of Davao family, through unforgettable and memorable short prayers.

As the Stella Maris Academy of Davao community reminisces about the feast day of our dear Stella Maris. They have come to commemorate the feast on September 27, 2023, as a way to remember the blessings we receive from Mary, the Star of the Sea. Every Marisian truly looks up to her the most for guidance and protection at all times as they embark on a new journey full of ups and downs.

In Mother Mary, we seek help and guidance to sail across despite how dark, or light, the unpredictable waves and seas can be.  As they celebrate its feast day, Stella Maris Academy of Davao has come together with joy to follow the path leading to Christ. They have fulfilled and prepared their hearts with love for Mother Mary for their gratitude and care for her as the Star of the Sea.

Through this special day, SMAD prepared a short prayer, while other chosen Marisians, from preschool to senior high school, also brought flowers as a gift to Mary with their unconditional love poured onto it. Thus, the high school Girls and Boy Scouts also played a role during the short prayer. Marisians showed their devotion to Mary on this day with a moment of silence for her.

Ms. Patricia Leigh N. Gonzales, as well as the other SMAD teachers and pastoral members, introduced our lady, Mother Mary to everyone as a starting point for all to remember and recall who she truly is. Moreover, SMAD arranged an organized and memorable short feast program for our mother dearest. This has truly been a great example for each pupil to follow her for us to be brought closer to Jesus, our Savior, and Christ.
