SMAD: Embracing the Holy Spirit Mass to Commence the Academic Year

Celebrating a Holy Spirit Mass to start the new school year is a wonderful way to invoke blessings, guidance, and inspiration for the upcoming academic journey. The Holy Spirit is often associated with wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord – qualities that are highly relevant for students, teachers, and staff as they embark on a new year of learning and growth.

The Holy Mass started at exactly 7:30 in the morning of July 28, 2023, presided by Fr. Russel Bantiles, DCD. It was attended onsite by students from Grades 4-12 and online by students from Grades 1-3. The mass was sponsored by the Senior High School students and the Responsorial Psalm was sung by two Grade 9 students namely; Kimiko Reign Cuencia and Marianne Gabrielle Maturan.

Overall, the Holy Spirit Mass serves as a sacred ritual that brings together the SMAD educative family in a spirit of faith, hope, and unity. It provides a moment of reflection, inspiration, and renewal as we embark on a new chapter of the academic year, guided by the divine presence of the Holy Spirit.
